The press: Opus and Roscoe! Over here! Just a few quick questions before you duck inside! Where on earth did you get those crazy outfits and who dressed you boys tonight?

Opus: Well, I felt bad for yelling at Roscoe when he bought us brightly colored tuxedos to wear at the CCSI cast party. So to make it up him, I let him pick out our red carpet outfits for tonight. I have to say, I was a little worried when he came home with these but once I got it on, I kind of liked it. What do you think? A little too much?

Roscoe: Oh Opus, thank you so much for letting me dress us for the Red Carpet Contest! I think we look just smashing (if I may say so myself). And honesty, is there really such a thing as TOO much? I don't think so! By the way, we are wearing Gianfranco Bell'gatto, a famous Italian designer from the Fashion House of Lattecaldo.

Good evening. Here I am, dramatically positioned behind the velvet rope, just awaiting my turn on the red carpet and a few words with Joan. Tonight I have been nominated in the Hair and Makeup Cat-egory and as such have chosen to appear tonight "au naturel" and only to display my truly majestic mane. I'd like to thank Victorino of Rodeo Drive who is my personal stylist and worked wonders with the brushed gold and burnt orange highlights and lowlights.

Good evening, Joan... yes, I am gowned tonight by Maggy-Mino of Milan, with jeweled touches from her amazing staff of artisans. My short gown just brushes the bosom and falls to above the knee in an extraordinary floof of red velvet and tulle, studded with diamonds. The jeweled bow at the waistline is 14-karat gold with one-hundred karat diamond studs... and it was duplicated as my hair ornament. Win an oscar? Well Joan, as you know there are many excellent performances this year, and with all respect and honor to my feline friends, I simply say, may the best cat win!

The humans have a very important red carpet event coming up on February 24:
the 80th Academy Awards Show, in short and better known as
"The Oscars".

As we all know, the most important thing about this show and the main reason millions are watching it are -
the dresses, the suits, the gowns!

So let's show those humans we can do it better! And if canceled - ours might then be the only show to watch, hahahahahaha!

Dress yourself up in the most glamorous outfit you can imagine and post it here by February 23. One entry per animal.
And on Oscar night, February 24, let's all post our dress-up pictures on our own blogs and show those humans!

After the Oscars we will have viewers vote for
the best outfit in 4 categories:

Best female "real" outfit
Best male "real" outfit
Best female "image edited" outfit
Best male "image edited" outfit
